64+ Doulas
Founded by
Jodi CongdonCare that meets you where you are.
Every family is different. Some want overnight hands so they can actually sleep. Some want daytime presence, a warm meal, and a chance to shower. Some want both. Some just want someone to answer the question they keep Googling at 2am.
A team built on experience.
Support, shaped around your family.
Antepartum Support
Antepartum doulas work much like postpartum doulas โ providing private, in-home care for expectant mothers who canโt fully care for themselves or manage their usual responsibilities. Your doula helps reduce stress and makes bed rest or activity restriction as comfortable as it can be.

As your antepartum caretaker, we provide:
- Personalized prenatal support
- Constant monitoring of mom-to-beโs overall wellness
- Home organization
- All meal planning, grocery shopping and meal preparation
- Accompaniment to appointments
- Errands
- Local resources
Your antepartum doula can also help you prepare for what to expect in a complicated or premature delivery, procedures in the NICU, and for bringing home your premature baby or babies.
Labor & Birth Doula Support
Your doula is by your side through labor and delivery. Using a labor doula decreases your chance of a cesarean, has been known to shorten labor, and can reduce your need for medication.

She meets with you before your baby is born to learn your hopes and expectations for labor, and is available throughout your pregnancy to address your questions, needs and concerns. Your doula is on-call for you 24 hours a day, two weeks before and after your due date (approximately weeks 38โ42).
Your Hip to Heart labor doula will support you by:
- Offering emotional support before, during and after labor and birth
- Helping you write a birth wish list according to your preferences, guided by our expertise
- Sharing physical comfort measures she or your partner can provide during labor and birth โ light-touch massage, breathing patterns and position changes
- Helping you advocate for yourself during birth
- Understanding the birth process and helping you see how labor is progressing
- Giving one-on-one attention
- Gently helping initiate breastfeeding within an hour after birth
Postpartum & Overnight Support
We use our knowledge and experience to help you transition seamlessly and confidently to life with your new baby. We care for you and your family while you heal and rest โ taking over meal prep, errands and light housework so you can spend those precious first weeks bonding with your baby.

since 2009
My journey into the world of pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding began with my own empowering experiences โ including welcoming two of my daughters right at home in the Boston area, where I live with my husband, our three incredible daughters, two cats, and a dog.
Driven by a passion for learning and excellence in the perinatal field, I am a certified Postpartum Doula and Lactation Educator. My commitment to elevating birth and postpartum care led me to the CAPPA Faculty, where I proudly serve as the Postpartum Doula and Lactation Educator Trainer for New England.
Hip to Heart grew from that calling. Today, our team of 64+ trained, vetted doulas carries the same heart and rigor into every family's home across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Southern New Hampshire.
Loved by families across New England.
Jodi was a lifesaver during the fourth trimester and beyond. Her calm support, patient listening, and flexible troubleshooting was so important to help our family adjust to our new rhythms, especially after a complicated labor. Jodi balances helping immediate needs and teaching and coaching to manage without her in the future. She taught us so much and we recommend post-partum doula support to all of our friends planning to grow their family.
I met Jodi at a networking event several months ago. I was so impressed by her warmth and obvious passion for her work that I hired her to provide Doula services for a close friend of mine who was struggling. Jodi has a gift for reaching women who feel scared and uncertain after childbirth. She offers a wonderful combination of teaching and coaching and a little cooking as well!
