This is a free event for expectant families where you will learn about the importance of Postpartum Self Care, Pelvic Floor Health and Postpartum Nutrition. We will talk about prioritizing your health and wellness when your little one arrives.
You will hear from:
Jodi Congdon CPD, CLE, owner of Hip to Heart, Concierge Care for Women During and After Pregnancy.
She a certified Lactation Educator and Postpartum Doula, as well as a Certified Health and Wellness Coach specializing in prenatal and postpartum women. She will talk about the importance of postpartum self care, emotional and mental wellness and what role a doula can play in caring for your family after you have your baby.
Brooke M. Reilly OTR/L, CLC
Women’s Pelvic Floor & Maternal Health specialist, Brooke Reilly, will be joining the conversation to discuss pelvic health basics. She will touch on pelvic anatomy, function, and common dysfunction among women, particularly those who’ve birthed babies (or who will be giving birth in the near future). Brooke will provide an overview of what pelvic floor therapy entails, who can benefit, and how to initiate the process. Participants will walk away with a couple of tools under their belt as she sheds light on several pelvic health “myths” and empowers you with some knowledge on how to be your body’s best detective.
Brandy Coffin, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner
Brandy Coffin, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner at The Nourished Mom will be talking about the importance of postnatal nutrition and teaching you how to support your hormonal health, energy, mood, breast milk production and how to reduce stress by nourishing your body with yummy, nutritious foods. Learn what foods to eat, what foods to avoid and how to make it work with your new schedule once baby comes.
